Named for the small sandy hook that sticks out from its point, Sandy Hook is the major point that defines the eastern edge of the mouth to Cayo Del Grullo as it heads into the main body of Baffin Bay. Sandy Hook catches a good wind driven current, making the flats around it productive for trout and redfish throughout the year.
