Staying in Corpus Christi gives the angler a multitude of fishing options. To the north, Nueces Bay, to the east Corpus Christi Bay and to the southeast The Upper Laguna Madre all have direct access from Corpus Christi. A short drive south Baffin Bay also is available to visitors to Corpus Christi.
Since Corpus Christi is the largest city in the Texas Coastal Bend, visiting anglers might want to consider which of these options they want to pursue before booking accommodations. The Corpus Christi Beach known locally as North Beach and the downtown areas give good access to Nueces Bay and the northern reaches of Corpus Christi Bay. While the south side of town, Flour Bluff and North Padre Island all give good access to South Corpus Christi Bay, The Upper Laguna Madre. A lot of local fishermen also run to Baffin Bay from these areas.
Regardless of where you end up, Corpus Christi has excellent fishing opportunities. Aransas Pass is also a jumping off point for offshore boats that head up the Aransas Channel to the Gulf of Mexico out of Conn Brown Harbor or the San Patricio Navigation District Marina near Ransom Park.
