Cedar Point sticks out from the northwest shore of Mesquite Bay. Bordered on the south side by a deep cut called Cedar Dugout, Cedar Point is a natural choke point for fish travelling from deeper waters to the flats of North and South Cedar Bays. Fishing is good along the cut and the flats to the north in North Cedar Bay offer good sandy and grassy bottom for wade fishing.
