Exposed Reef is one of several in the middle of Nueces Bay. This half moon shaped reef is usually but not always exposed depending on the tides. It is a good place to start looking for redfish and speckled trout in this section of the bay. There are may reefs in the area that can produce good limits of fish. They can also produce busted lower units and holes in hulls so navigating this area like much of Nueces Bay should be done with caution even by anglers familiar with the area.
