The first grassy flats area south of the homes and canals on North Padre Island, North Nighthawk is a long grassy flat between the Intracoastal Waterway and Padre Island. Three to Four feet deep down the middle, and sandy banks down the island on the east and the spoil islands on the west, North Nighthawk is a productive area for redfish and trout through out the year and an easy run down from the boat ramps on North Padre Island. Also good for flounder during the run.
