While the Nueces River flows through a number of sloughs and cuts through out its delta, this is the primary cut that boaters use to access Nueces Bay from the river. The nutrient rich flow of the river makes all of the cuts and shorelines in this area a potential ambush point for schools of redfish, speckled trout and black drum looking for mullet and other small fish, shrimp and crabs. This is an excellent area on a dropping tide.
