Talley Island is a knife shaped island that juts into the northern section of Redfish Bay. Where it meets Aransas Bay it is bordered by Turtle Bayou to the north and Trout Bayou to the south. The bayous and cuts that meander through the island is an excellent kayak opportunity to get away from powerboats and score nice catches of redfish.
On the Aransas Bay side of the island, the sandy and grassy shoreline and gently sloping bottom can stack up trout waiting for bait to wash through the two bayous that frame it. The Estes Cove shoreline and grassy flats can be drifted or waded for redfish and speckled trout..
