The Third Chain of Islands is a long broken point that extends well into Mesquite Bay. It runs between Beldons Reef and South Cedar Bay. It is one of the primary fishing locations as anglers come into Mesquite Bay from the Intracoastal Waterway. It is a top destination for large speckled trout with redfish and flounder being found along the shorelines and nearby reefs.
