Port Bay is a small shallow extension off the south end of Copano Bay. This often overlooked bay offers excellent redfish and trout action through out the year. The most frequented portion is the bends and tidal lakes near the mouth where it meets Copano Bay. There are a lot more good grassy flats, shorelines and cuts further back into Port Bay that get very little pressure.
There is a boat ramp that services Port Bay directly at the back of the bay where Hwy 188 crosses it between Sinton, Texas and Rockport, Texas. The channel feeding into the ramp is silted in and may be hard to access at low tide and with anything but small boats.
