The small shallow cove formed by Cedar Point in Mesquite Bay is North Cedar Bay. A mixture of shell and mud bottom, this area is best fished by shallow draft boat. Good populations of speckled trout and redfish move up and off this shallow area to feed during tide changes from the deeper waters of adjacent Cedar Dugout.
