One of the more confusing areas of the Upper Laguna Madre is the area of Dead Man Hole. Located just north of Kate's hole, Dead Man Hole is often miss identified as the deep northern section of Kate's Hole. It is actually a separate deep hole separated by a sandy reef. To further the confusion, Dead Man's Hole is a also in the area, located just 2 miles south of Dead Man Hole. The Hole and surrounding flats hold trout and flounder all year.
